Dolce
Dolce, conducted by Kim Ahrens, is an introductory chorus for singers in fourth through eighth grades designed to introduce children to the vocal and musical skills required for classical choral singing. This chorus rehearses on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Dolce Chorus will rehearse at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road (corner of Northwest Highway and Inwood). Dolce is pronounced, “DOLE-chay,” and is an Italian musical term that means, “sweetly.” This chorus usually performs once or twice each semester.
Brio
Brio, conducted by Mary Anne Clark, is an intermediate-advanced chorus for singers in fourth through eighth grades. Brio rehearses on Monday evenings from 6:15 - 7:45 p.m. This chorus will also require 3 Saturday morning or afternoon rehearsals this season. Brio Chorus will rehearse at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road (corner of Northwest Highway and Inwood). Brio is pronounced, “BREE-oh,” and is an Italian musical term that means, “with enthusiastic vivacity.” This chorus performs two to three times each semester.
Cantabile
Cantabile, conducted by Kim Ahrens, is the most advanced children’s chorus for singers in fourth through eighth grades. This chorus rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:45 p.m. Cantabile Chorus will rehearse at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road (corner of Northwest Highway and Inwood). Cantabile is pronounced, “kahn-TAH-bee-lay,” and is an Italian musical term that means, “in a melodious, singing style.” The performance schedule for this chorus is the most extensive and can be as often as once a month.
Treble Youth Chorus
Treble Youth Chorus, conducted by Katie Patel, is an advanced chorus for treble singers in ninth through twelfth grades. This chorus rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Treble Youth Chorus will rehearse at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road (corner of Northwest Highway and Inwood). This chorus performs two to three times each semester.
Youth Chorus
Youth Chorus, conducted by Kelly Pfaffenberger, is an advanced chorus for mixed voices in ninth through twelfth grades. This chorus rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Youth Chorus will rehearse at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road (corner of Northwest Highway and Inwood). This chorus performs two to three times each semester.
